Responsible for the provision and execution of nutritional care of patients..
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of dietary employees on assigned shift
Enforce departmental policies and procedures and regulations in conformity with hospital policies and CCHSA standards
Monitors all inpatients and preforms nutritional assessments as necessary documenting findings in the medical record
Ensures all patients receive the diet ordered by their physician
Assists the Director; Nutrition and Food Services in preparation of personnel evaluations
Coordinates dietary management of all patients on assigned units
Keeps abreast of all current practices and trends in the field of Food Service Management and Dietetics
Comply with the standards laid down by the Approved International Accreditation Standards
Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the Hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm
Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities
